Ray Caldwell completed the game without help from the bullpen as the St.
Louis-AL Browns defeated the Chicago-NL Cubs 12 to 3 at Sportsman'S
Park.

Jack Barry enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He doubled bringing in a run in
the 5th inning, doubled clearing the bases in the 6th inning and banged out a
single in the 7th inning.  St. Louis-AL had a total of 13 hits for the game.

The win was credited to Caldwell(2-0) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
Russ Ford(1-2) took the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 13 hits and 5
walks in 8 innings.
