Norm Baker went 14 strong innings at Exposition Park where the Louisville
Colonels beat the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 15 innings 3 to 1.

Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings.  Louisville won the
hard fought contest in the 15th inning.  Amos Cross led off the inning for
Louisville when he drew a walk.  After an out was recorded, Guy Hecker came
to the plate and hit a single.  Tom Brown then uncorked a pitch that was
ruled a passed ball.  Tom McLaughlin was up next and he drew a walk to load
the bases.  One out later, Chicken Wolf stepped up to the plate and he ripped
a one-base hit driving home two runs.  The game was a scoreless duel until
the 6th inning.  

The victory was credited to Baker(1-2) who went 14 innings, allowing 1 run. Al
Mays earned the save, his 1st.  Brown(0-2) absorbed the loss in relief.
