Ray Collins was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at American League Park as the Boston Red Sox beat the
Washington Nationals by the count of 9 to 6.

In the top of the 6th inning Boston went on top for good plating an isolated
run.  Boston banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.  

Collins(1-0), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Walter
Johnson(1-3) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings.
