Clark Griffith allowed Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a
complete game at Sportsman's Park where the St. Louis Browns beat the
Louisville Colonels by the score of 13 to 7.

St. Louis jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating 2 runs on 3
base hits.  Dummy Hoy got things going when he reached on an error.  Hoy took
his lead and swiped second.  Red Ehret then threw a pitch that got away from
the catcher.  After an out was recorded, Tip O'Neill stepped up to the plate
and he delivered a single knocking in a run.  One out later, Tommy McCarthy
came to bat and slapped a single.  Comiskey added to the outburst and singled
scoring the final run of the inning.  St. Louis rapped out 12 hits for the
afternoon.  

Griffith(3-2) finished the game allowing 7 runs in the victory. The loss was
charged to Ehret(1-6).  His ERA increased from 2.26 to 2.69 as he allowed 13
runs in 8 innings.  

Wth the win St. Louis now has a record of 12-6.  Not able to get much going in
recent weeks, Louisville is 1-9 of late and now has an overall record of
4-15, worst in the league.
