The Philadelphia-AL Athletics cruised to a 8 to 3 victory over the Brooklyn
Dodgers at Shibe Park.

Philadelphia-AL had 6 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning when they came up
with 8 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Home Run Baker who made
the crowd happy when he lined a single bringing in two baserunners.  For the
game Philadelphia-AL out-hit Brooklyn 13 to 4.  

Joe Boehling(1-1) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Tom Seaton(0-2)
suffered the loss.  He was knocked around by Philadelphia-AL, allowing 10
hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
