Doc McJames tossed a complete game at Eastern Park as the Washington Senators
beat the Brooklyn Bridegrooms by the count of 7 to 1.

Washington took the lead for good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run.
Kip Selbach drew a walk.  Selbach was running on the next pitch and he stole
second.  Ed Cartwright then laced a one-base hit scoring the run.  Washington
banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to McJames(2-2) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Harley Payne(0-3) was hit with the loss.  His ERA increased from 1.62 to 3.65
as he allowed 7 runs in 8 innings.
