WEB GEMS- Top 2nd: Ollie Pickering robbed Cap Anson of an extra base hit.

Bill Everitt had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Jimmy Callahan had a complete game at
Eclipse Park as the Chicago Colts belted the Louisville Colonels by the count
of 15 to 5.

The Louisville fans didn't appreciate the big day Everitt had. He ripped a
base-hit in the 1st inning, lined a single in the 2nd inning, smacked a
one-base hit scoring a run in the 3rd inning and clubbed a three-run home run
in the 4th inning. Chicago bats were hot in the 3rd inning which saw them
score 8 runs on 8 hits and the 4th inning with 4 runs. Chicago rapped out 15
hits for the afternoon.

The win went to Callahan(2-0) who allowed 5 runs in the game. Chick
Fraser(0-2) was hit with the loss. He was touched for 15 hits and 5 walks in
9 innings.
