WEB GEMS- Top 6th: Tommy Corcoran robbed Joe Sugden of a base hit.

Jack Taylor went the distance as the Cincinnati Reds won at League Park in
dramatic fashion over the Cleveland Spiders, the final score, 7 to
6.

Cincinnati won the game with a run in the 9th inning. Kip Selbach doubled.
Jack Stivetts then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball. After an
out was recorded, Tommy Corcoran then lined a base-hit giving Cincinnati the
win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Cleveland had 14 hits in
the game while Cincinnati had 10, but Cincinnati had the more timely hits.

Taylor(1-1), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory.
Stivetts(0-1) was the loser in relief. 'I was a little good, a little bad
and a little ugly.' said Taylor, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
