Jack Taylor went the distance as the Cincinnati Reds won at League Park in dramatic fashion over the Cleveland Spiders, the final score, 7 to 6. Cincinnati won the game with a run in the 9th inning. Kip Selbach doubled. Jack Stivetts then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball. After an out was recorded, Tommy Corcoran then lined a base-hit giving Cincinnati the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Cleveland had 14 hits in the game while Cincinnati had 10, but Cincinnati had the more timely hits. Taylor(1-1), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Stivetts(0-1) was the loser in relief. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Taylor, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
