Honus Wagner had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Jack Chesbro was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game at Exposition Park as the
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the St. Louis Cardinals 12 to 4.

Pittsburgh came up with 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning with the help
of 3 hits.  They would prove to be the difference in the contest.  Pittsburgh
totaled 15 hits on the afternoon.  

Chesbro(3-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Stan
Yerkes(2-2) took the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up
12 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
