Eddie Plank went the distance at American League Park as the Philadelphia
Athletics beat the Washington Nationals by the count of 5 to 1.

Plank(2-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed only 6 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings. Philadelphia managed 8 hits in their victory.

Frank Kitson(0-2) was tagged with the loss. It was another victory for
Philadelphia at American League Park. Now their winning streak stands at 6
games. Joe Cantillon was very irritated after the contest. 'Just our luck to
run into a team that's playing like a juggernaut right now. I have to
congratulate Connie Mack on his team's recent performance. A very impressive
run.'
