Chief Sockalexis had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Nig Cuppy pitched a complete game as
the Cleveland Spiders outscored the ice-cold St. Louis Browns 11 to
2.

Sockalexis had a big day at the plate.  He banged out a single in the 1st
inning, doubled plating two runs in the 2nd inning, ripped a base-hit in the
4th inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 6th inning.  Cleveland provided
plenty of action in the 2nd inning which saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits.
Cleveland finished with 22 hits in the victory.  

Cuppy(2-1) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Red Donahue(0-2)
was the losing pitcher.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 22 hits and 2 walks
in 9 innings.
