Ed Summers delivered 9 solid innings at Washington Park where the St. Louis-AL
Browns beat the Brooklyn Dodgers by the score of 7 to 0.

Bill Sweeney enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He doubled in the 1st inning,
lined a one-base hit in the 5th inning and emptied the bases with a Grand
Slam homerun in the 6th inning.  St. Louis-AL finished with 9 hits in the
victory.  

Summers(3-2) was credited with the shutout. Doc White(5-4) was hit with the
loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.  

Wth the win St. Louis-AL now has a record of 19-24.  With this loss, Brooklyn
has a 4-6 record of late, 18-17 overall.
