Hal Chase had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Palace of the Fans where the Cincinnati Reds
beat the New York-NL Giants 12 to 8.

Chase helped send the fans home happy. He doubled in the 3rd inning, laced a
one-base hit in the 5th inning, hit a single in the 7th inning and doubled
with all three baserunners touching home in the 8th inning. New York-NL was
not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory
eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win
ballgames.

Howie Camnitz(2-1) went 7 innings allowing 5 runs for the victory. Ray Fisher
preserved the game for Camnitz, recording his his 2nd save. Nap Rucker(2-5)
was tagged with the loss. He allowed 12 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.
