In a dramatic ending the Philadelphia Phillies staged a comeback and held on
to win over the New York Giants by the count of 4 to 3.

Philadelphia came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th
inning with 2 runs using 4 hits.  Mickey Doolin started the inning off right
when he laced a base-hit.  Peaches Graham followed and he stroked a single.
Red Dooin got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim.  Otto Knabe
followed next and he lashed a single to load the bases.  John Titus came to
the plate and drew a walk plating a run.  Dode Paskert added to the uprising
and hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning.  Philadelphia ended
up with 14 hits for the game while New York had 6.  

Tom Seaton(2-1) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Seaton got help
from Hank Ritter who earned his 1st save.  Rube Marquard(2-1) ended up with
the loss.  

'Dooin was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the road like
this.  We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
