Will White went the distance and Deacon White had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the
Cincinnati Reds defeated the Milwaukee Grays(M) in 10 innings by the score of
7 to 6 at Avenue Grounds.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings.  Cincinnati came out the
victor in the 10th inning.  Charley Jones lashed a single.  Cal McVey then
called for a steal which was successful.  Two outs later A balk was came to
bat and called.  Pidgey Morgan then had one get away for a wild pitch giving
Cincinnati the win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  Cincinnati
banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was White(2-0) who allowed 6 runs for the game.
Morgan(0-1) suffered the loss in relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 1 hit in 1
and 2/3 innings.
