Bob Caruthers tossed a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles were badly
beaten by the Brooklyn Bridegrooms, 14 to 1.

Baltimore found themselves trailing quickly as the Brooklyn bats came through
in the first inning scoring one runner using 2 hits.  Brooklyn had many
opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

Caruthers(1-2) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. The losing pitcher
