Cy Young was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game and Buck Freeman had 2 base hits at Huntington Ave Grnds where the
Boston Americans beat the reeling Philadelphia Athletics by the score of 6 to
5.

Boston came up with 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning when they came up
with 6 base hits.  The big moment was provided by Hobe Ferris who thrilled
the crowd when he tripled scoring two baserunners.  Philadelphia had a chance
to come back in the 9th but they came up short.  

The win was credited to Young(3-1) who went the whole way allowing 5 runs.
Eddie Plank(1-3) was tagged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 11
hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  

Boston won for the 6th straight time.
