Jack Pfiester hurled a fine complete game shutout at Palace Of The Fans where
the Chicago Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 5 to 0.

Pfiester(1-1) simply dominated Cincinnati.  He gave up just 4 hits and 3 walks
in 9 innings improving his ERA from 2.16 to 1.04.  Chicago had 7 hits for the
afternoon.  

Del Mason(1-4) was hit with the loss.  He struggled with his control issuing 9
walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
