Pat Seerey slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at Forbes Field where the
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Philadelphia Phillies 10 to 4.

Pittsburgh wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they came
up with 2 runs on 2 hits.  Philadelphia was out-hit by Pittsburgh, 15 hits to
9.  

The win went to Early Wynn(1-4) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Virgil
Trucks(3-3) was given the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and
3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
