Kid Gleason was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Baseball Grounds where the Philadelphia Phillies beat the
Boston Beaneaters in 10 innings 4 to 3.

The score was tied at 3 after nine. Philadelphia ended up winning it in the
10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Sam Thompson ripped a single.  Harry
Wright then called for a steal which was successful.  Jack Clements then
slapped a single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Philadelphia and the
3,548 home town fans in attendance.  Philadelphia managed 10 hits in their
victory.  

Gleason(2-2), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Pretzels
Getzien(2-2) took the loss.  He pitched 9 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 10
hits and 2 walks.
