Chicago scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 base hits. George Yantz led off and he stroked a base-hit. Ward Miller stepped up next and he drew a walk. Jimmy Sheckard then reached on an error. Frank Schulte was up next and he hit a deep fly which scored a run. Joe Tinker stepped into the box and ripped a one-base hit to load the bases.
