Vern Bickford had a complete game and Phil Masi had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as
the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 8 to 1 at
Crosley Field.

Pittsburgh was unable to claim the lead after Cincinnati went ahead in the
bottom of the 4th inning when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits.  Cincinnati had
12 hits for the afternoon.  

Bickford(3-2) allowed 1 run on the game. Allie Reynolds(1-3) absorbed the
