Bill Dinneen took a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Boston Americans
ballclub embarrassed the Washington Nationals by the count of 12 to
0.

Dinneen(3-1) was solid in the win.  He allowed only 3 hits and 4 walks in 9
innings lowering his ERA to 1.80.  The right-handed Dinneen lost his chance
for a no-hitter when Charlie Jones doubled with nobody out in the 6th inning.
Boston had a total of 12 hits for the game.
