George Pearce had a strong outing at Fenway Park as the sizzling Brooklyn
Dodgers beat the Boston-AL Red Sox 3 to 1.

Brooklyn took the lead for keeps in the 6th inning scoring a single run.
Gavvy Cravath drew a walk.  Vic Saier stepped up to the plate and he tripled
scoring the run.  Brooklyn had 9 hits overall, while Boston-AL had 5.

Pearce(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 8 innings. Pearce was
helped out by Eppa Rixey who recorded his 6th save.  Chief Bender(4-5) was
the losing pitcher.  He surrendered 2 runs and 7 hits in 8 innings.  

With the win, Brooklyn continued their winning ways; their streak now stands
at 7 games and counting.
