Philadelphia-AL Athletics won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over St. Louis-AL
Browns at Shibe Park pulling it out in their last at bats, 11 to
10.

Philadelphia-AL won the game with a run in the 9th inning.  Armando Marsans
drew a walk.  Marsans was safe at second on a stolen base.  After an out was
recorded, Art Fletcher then lashed a single making Philadelphia-AL the
victors to the delight of the home town faithful.  This was the kind of game
that many fans love as the lead changed hands 6 times.  

The victory was credited to Bert Humphries(3-2) who went 1 inning, allowing 1
run. Ed Reulbach(3-3) was hit with the loss in relief.
