Lee Viau went the distance at League Park as the Cincinnati Red Stockings beat
the Kansas City Cowboys by the count of 12 to 5.

John Reilly had a big day at the plate.  He hit a 'grand salami' to the
delight of his teammates in the 1st inning and doubled in the 5th inning.
Cincinnati banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  

Viau(4-0) was the winner allowing 5 runs for the game. Frank Hafner(0-1) took
the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering 12 runs in 8 innings.
