3,432 fans were treated to a fine game at Baker Bowl as only one run separated
the combatants at game's end.  The Boston-AL Americans won by the slimmest of
margins, 7 to 6.

Boston-AL took the lead off Carl Lundgren in the first inning scoring one
runner.  For the game Boston-AL out-hit Philadelphia-NL 16 to 12.  

Rube Waddell(5-1) allowed 6 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Togie Pittinger got the save, his 1st.  Lundgren(1-3) ended up with
the loss.  He surrendered 3 runs in 4 innings and saw his ERA increase from
2.01 to 2.73.  

Wth the win Boston-AL now has a record of 17-11.  With the loss, the
Philadelphia-NL ballclub's record is 15-14.
