Sherry Magee had 2 base hits as the St. Louis-AL Browns defeated the New
York-NL Giants in 10 innings by a score of 4 to 3 at Sportsmans Park.

The score was tied at 3 after nine.  Finally, St. Louis-AL pulled the game out
in the 10th inning.  Spike Shannon drew a walk.  Harry Steinfeldt stepped
into the batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Magee then slapped
a base-hit.  Ollie Pickering stepped in and he lined a single resulting in an
exciting win for St. Louis-AL and a wild post-game celebration by the home
town fans.  St. Louis-AL won despite being out-hit by New York-NL 14 hits to
8.  

Ed Reulbach(2-3) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Jake
Weimer(0-3) was the loser in relief.  Wth the win St. Louis-AL now has a
record of 21-17.  New York-NL has a record of 7-17, worst in the division
after the loss.
