The Brooklyn Dodgers nipped the Boston-AL Red Sox 3 to 2 at Huntington Ave
Grnds in a hard fought contest.

Brooklyn claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run.
Boston-AL made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the
needed runs across.

George Suggs(3-4) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Tom Seaton
recorded the save, his 3rd. Ed Willett(1-4) suffered the loss. He
surrendered 3 runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.

'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said Roy Purcell 'but it's losing the close ones
that really hurt.'
