The Chicago-NL Cubs had very little trouble at Ebbets Field downing the
Brooklyn Dodgers.  The score was 10 to 4.

Chicago-NL brought 6 runs across the plate in the top of the 5th inning when
they had 6 base hits.  It was enough scoring to earn the victory.  Chicago-NL
finished with 16 hits while Brooklyn ended up with 9.  

Larry Cheney(3-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 4 runs. The losing pitcher was Jean Dubuc(2-2).  He got hit pretty
hard, allowing 14 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
