hits as the Boston-NL Braves outscored the Washington Nationals 2 to

Boston-NL scored the winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3 hits.
Sheckard led off the inning for Boston-NL when he laced a one-base hit.  Sam
Crawford stepped up to the plate and he banged out a single.  Matty McIntyre
then ripped a single, and an error was also committed, scoring a run.  Red
Dooin followed, but he was set down on strikes.  Charley O'Leary came to the
plate and worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring the final run of the
inning.  Boston-NL had a total of 8 hits for the game.  

Gregg(3-1) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Gene
Krapp(2-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
