Baseballs were flying all over the ballpark as the Philadelphia-AL Athletics
ran roughshod over the seemingly hapless Chicago-NL Cubs.  The
Philadelphia-AL offense rolled up a total of 12 runs!.

Saul Rogovin(5-1) gave a fine effort for Philadelphia-AL.  He went 8 innings
and surrended up 11 hits and 1 walk.  Both teams ended up with 11 hits on the
afternoon.  

The loss was charged to Vic Raschi(1-3).  He gave up 7 hits and no walks in 1
and 1/3 innings.
