Third baseman Wid Conroy had 2 base hits at Huntington Ave Grnds where the New
York-AL Highlanders beat the Boston-AL Americans 5 to 3.

New York-AL came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning plating
2 runs using 3 hits.  Bill Dahlen kicked off the action when he stroked a
single.  After an out was recorded, Nap Lajoie came to the plate and tripled
scoring a run.  Socks Seybold then ripped a base-knock scoring the final run
of the inning.  Ed Pinnance(2-0) got help from Connie McGeehan who pitched
great and earned his 4th save.  

Joe McGinnity(9-3) took the loss.  He pitched 9 innings allowing 11 hits and 4
walks.
