Danny Murphy led off and started the attack as he smacked a single, and an error was also committed. Bunk Congalton got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Solly Hofman was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Al Bridwell followed and he ripped a base-hit which scored a run. Bridwell then stole second base. Ira Thomas contributed to the rally and stroked a single scoring the final run of the inning. The Boston-AL batters didn't put up a fight in the bottom of the 12th.
