Lew Richie completed the game without help from the bullpen and right fielder
Sam Crawford had 2 base hits as the Pittsburgh Pirates won a dandy at Forbes
Field over the St. Louis-AL Browns, 2 to 1.

The game was won by Pittsburgh with a run in the 9th inning.  Hank Severeid
lashed a single.  George Jackson stepped up to the plate and he laced a
base-hit.  Otto Knabe then banged out a single to load the bases.  Jimmy
Sheckard was the next batter, but he struck out.  Crawford came to the plate
and slapped a one-base hit giving Pittsburgh the victory as 3,483 happy fans
celebrated wildly.  Pittsburgh managed 13 hits in their victory.

Richie(4-3) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Hank
Robinson(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He gave up 1 run and 4 hits in 1/3 of
an inning.
