WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Bill White robbed Arlie Latham of a base hit.

Arlie Latham slammed 2 homeruns and Silver King had a complete game as the St.
Louis Browns defeated the Louisville Colonels 3 to 2 at Sportsman's
Park.

St. Louis jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they scored 2
runs on 3 hits. Louisville threatened in the 9th but St. Louis was able to
put down the rally.

King(2-2) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Toad Ramsey(2-6)
was the losing pitcher. John Kelly was in a contemplative mood after the
tough loss, 'It is really hard to lose this kind of a game. It may seem
weird to some, but it is easier to take the occasional blow-out loss. It is
the ones that just barely get away that hurt so much - like this one!'
