Third baseman George Davis jacked one out of the ballyard and Amos Rusie had
an impressive outing at Eastern Park as the New York Giants beat the Brooklyn
Grooms by the count of 6 to 2.

New York set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring a single run
utilizing 2 base hits.  New York finished with 13 hits in the victory.  

The win went to Rusie(3-1) who allowed 2 runs in the game. The loss was
charged to Ed Stein(2-2).  He was knocked around by New York, allowing 13
hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.  

'Rusie took our guys to school' Dave Foutz said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch for
us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'
