Shortstop Joe Sullivan had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Willie McGill pitched a
complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the reeling Louisville
Colonels by a score of 12 to 3 at Eclipse Park.

Philadelphia claimed the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated
run.  Philadelphia had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6
separate innings.  

McGill(2-3) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Phil Knell(0-3)
absorbed the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 16 hits and 6 walks in 9
innings.
