WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Dan Coogan robbed Bill Lange of a base hit.

Scott Stratton was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Chicago Colts outscored the slumping Washington Senators
6 to 4.

Chicago came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning scoring 4
runners on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Bill Dahlen who
elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he tripled plating two runs.
Washington threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.

Stratton(1-1) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Otis
Stocksdale(1-3) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around by Chicago,
allowing 12 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.

It was another victory for Chicago at West Side Park. Now their winning
streak stands at 6 games. 'We're running on all cylinders now', said Cap
Anson. 'I probably shouldn't change a thing and let the guys continue to put
up the wins.'
