Eddie Cicotte allowed Gordon Renaud to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Huntington Ave Grnds as the Washington Nationals beat the ice-cold
Boston-AL Red Sox 11 to 2.

Cicotte(3-3) earned his pay with a solid performance for Washington.  He went
9 innings and surrended up 8 hits and 4 walks.  Washington provided plenty of
action in the 9th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 6 hits.  Washington
rapped out 20 hits for the afternoon.  

George Mullin(1-4) was charged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 13
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
