Boston-NL Braves beat the Washington Nationals 7 to 4.

Washington found themselves trailing quickly as the Boston-NL bats came
through in the first inning when they tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The
highlight belonged to Birmingham who silenced American League Park as he
smacked a single which was good for two runs.  Boston-NL out-hit Washington
for the game, 10 hits to 7.  

The win went to Jim Scott(3-1) who allowed 3 runs in 7 innings. The loss was
charged to Jack Coombs(4-2).  He allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.
