In a dramatic ending at Huntington Ave Grnds the Boston-AL Red Sox won in
their last at-bat beating the Brooklyn Dodgers by the count of 2 to
1.

Boston-AL won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Shoeless
Joe Jackson delivered a base-hit.  Max Carey followed and he reached on an
error resulting in an exciting win for Boston-AL and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans.  Boston-AL had only 5 hits for the game.

Ed Willett(2-5) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Jean Dubuc(1-6)
took the loss.  He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 5 hits and 9 walks.
