Cass Michaels had a big day with his bat. He clubbed a three-run home run in the 2nd inning, lined a base-hit in the 6th inning and lined a single in the 9th inning. Philadelphia-NL rapped out 15 hits for the afternoon. The win went to Frank Hiller(1-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. The loss was charged to Connie Marrero(1-1) in relief.
