Third baseman Willie Jones smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Cleveland
Indians topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 13 to 6 at Municipal
Stadium.

Jones had a big day at the plate.  He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in
the 4th inning and launched a three-run homer in the 7th inning.  Pittsburgh
out-hit Cleveland 14 to 11, but Cleveland ended up with more runs.  

Bob Feller(5-4) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Bob
Turley(4-3) was hit with the loss.  He allowed 4 homeruns in 7 innings of
work.
