TEAM RISP- White Stockings: 3 for 12 Quakers: 5 for 14

Fred Goldsmith had a complete game and King Kelly had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at
Recreation Park as the Chicago White Stockings beat the Philadelphia Quakers
10 to 7.

Chicago tallied 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning when they had 5 base hits.
The highlight belonged to Kelly who disappointed the partisan crowd when he
tripled bringing in two baserunners. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame,
scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for Philadelphia to come
away with the victory.

Goldsmith(2-0) allowed 7 runs on the game. John Coleman(1-2) was given the
loss. He gave up 10 runs in 9 innings of work.
