Bobby Wallace had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Willie Sudhoff took a no-hitter into
the 7th inning as the St. Louis Browns smashed the overmatched Detroit
Tigers, 15 to 3.

Sudhoff(2-1) delivered a fine performance for St. Louis. He went 8 and 2/3
innings surrendering 5 hits and 2 walks.  The right-handed Sudhoff lost his
no-hit bid when Dick Harley homered with one out in the 7th inning.  St.
Louis lit up the scoreboard in the 4th inning when they had 7 runs on 6 hits
and the 5th inning scoring 4 runs.  St. Louis had 16 hits for the game and
Detroit had 5.  

Win Mercer(2-1) ended up with the loss.  He gave up 15 runs in 8 innings of
work.
