Crawford enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He tripled resulting in a run in the 4th inning, tripled which plated a run in the 5th inning, tripled knocking in a run in the 7th inning and stroked a single bringing in a run in the 8th inning. Philadelphia-NL had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. The victory was credited to Wicker(2-1) who went 6 innings, allowing no runs.
