Hooks Wiltse was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Washington Senators bested the St. Louis-AL Browns 7 to
1 at American League Park.

The game started off with Washington taking the lead in the first plating 3
runs utilizing 3 base hits. Jesse Burkett led off and started the attack as
he lined a base-hit. Rudy Hulswitt stepped up next and he banged out a
single. Hulswitt took second on the throw. After an out was recorded, Danny
Green then drew a walk to load the bases. Nixey Callahan came up and he
doubled driving in three runs. That was all the offense they were to need.
Washington totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

Wiltse(2-3) allowed 1 run on the game. Tully Sparks(2-2) took the loss. By
giving up 7 runs in 7 innings his ERA increased from 2.56 to 3.49.
