Ed Abbaticchio had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over Boston-NL Braves, 5 to
4.

Cincinnati came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2
runs on 3 hits.  After an out was recorded, Art Kruger kicked off the action
when he slapped a single.  Jiggs Donahue followed and he ripped a base-hit.
Doug Hatch then called for a steal which was successful.  Abbaticchio came up
and he ripped a single scoring the final run of the inning.  Cincinnati had
10 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Lew Moren(3-0) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings. The
loss was charged to Al Orth(1-1) in relief.  He pitched 1 inning giving up 3
hits and no walks.
