In an great finish the St. Louis-AL Browns won in dramatic fashion over the Washington Nationals by a score of 4 to 3 at Sportsman'S Park. St. Louis-AL had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning plating 3 runs using 4 hits. Rudy Hulswitt led off and started the rally when he doubled. Jimmy Austin came next and he laced a one-base hit driving in a run. Austin was safe on a stolen base. Earle Gardner followed and he ripped a single. St. Louis-AL continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. Clyde Milan continued the rally and laced a base-knock, and an error was also committed, resulting in an exciting win for St. Louis-AL and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. St. Louis-AL finished with 11 hits while Washington ended up with 8. The victory went to Addie Joss(2-5) who went 2 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1 run. Smoky Joe Wood(2-3) suffered the loss in relief.
